For formal commissions, complex compositions or culturally significant artwork, consider working with a professional calligrapher.

No account is required to use the primary calligraphy generator. You can enter text, compare fonts, customize the design and use the available export options directly in your browser.
Yes. You can enter an Arabic name and preview it in different fonts. Before creating the design, confirm the correct Arabic spelling of the name. Names transliterated from another language may have more than one acceptable Arabic spelling.
The tool can display Arabic diacritics when they are included in the text and supported by the selected font. Harakat support varies between fonts. A font may display basic marks correctly but position stacked diacritics differently. Always carefully inspect text containing Fatha, Kasra, Damma, Shadda, Sukun or Tanween before downloading it.

  • Ruqaa-inspired fonts have a compact handwritten character.
  • Nastaliq fonts are especially associated with Urdu and Persian typography.
  • Modern display fonts work well for headings, posters and social graphics.

Preview the complete phrase rather than choosing a font based only on a single letter.

There are two different types of output.

Plain Arabic text may be copied as Unicode text and pasted into compatible applications. Its appearance will depend on the font used by the destination application.

A designed calligraphy image does not retain its appearance as ordinary copied text. To preserve the selected font, colours and effects, download the design as an image or vector file.

PNG is an image format that works well for websites, social media, presentations and transparent-background graphics.

SVG is a vector format. It can normally be enlarged without becoming pixelated, making it useful for printing, cutting machines and further editing in compatible design software.

Check the exported file before sending it to a printer or manufacturer.

Your ability to use a design commercially can depend on the licence of the font used in it.

A font may allow personal projects but restrict logos, merchandise, applications, editable templates, redistribution or other commercial uses.

Review the licence information for the selected font and confirm the terms with the font’s original publisher when the project is commercial.
